Signing of the Memorandum on long-term cooperation in the area of continuous training of students between the HJPC of BiH and Law Schools in Bosnia and Herzegovina
(Sarajevo, October 25, 2007)- The High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH HJPC), aimed at marking a Day of Civil Justice, organizes an „Open Door“ Day for the Law School students. Having in mind the HJPC's limited capacities and trying to ensure equal participation of Law School students from all parts of the country, it is decided to invite deans of all Law Schools in the country and three students from each Law School to visit the HJPC and the Court of BiH.
It is planned to have meetings with Branko Peric, president of the HJPC, Ms Medzida Kreso, president of the Court of BiH, Mr Amir Jaganjac, president of the Federation BiH Supreme Court and Law School deans, as well as to sign the Memorandum on long-term cooperation in the area of continuous training of students between the HJPC of BiH and Law Schools in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is also planned to organize presentations for the students in order for them to get a clear picture of judiciary in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The media representatives are kindly asked to attend the event and contribute to its relevance.
The event is scheduled for October 25, 2007 at 10.30 a.m.
The deputy ministers of the Council of Europe made a decision on June 5, 2003 to initiate, in cooperation with the European Commission, the European Day of Civil Justice that would take place every year in the last week of October.
